Center Hole Load Cell
A resistive strain gage type load cell used to determine load in rock bolts, tieback anchors etc through a centre hole. It is based on Wheatstone bridge principle and has eight 350 Ohm resistance strain gages, wired to form a 700 Ohm bridge, inside a cylinder of high steel strength. These eight gages are mounted around the circumference at 45 degrees to each other. The load cell is resistive to ingress of water and corrosive environment by sealing hermetically using the electron beam welding technique.
Solid Load Cell
A heavy duty precision load cell specially designed to meet the increasing demand in load measurement with a high degree of accuracy and reliability, the load cell is ideally suited for measurement of compressive load or forces in struts application. The load cell is available in capacities ranging from 1000 kN to 3500 kN.
It has great resistance to extraneous forces. This increases the fatigue life, permits less stringent mounting alignment and reduces the possibility of reading error. The load cell is protected against dust, moisture and adverse environmental conditions.
Point Load Tester
GDS Digital Point Load Apparatus (GDS-GW-PL) comprises a two columns fixed crossed frame mounted directly onto a hand operated hydraulic jack.
Pressure applied by hand pump in the base of the jack extends the piston carrying the lower of the two conical points. The upper point is fixed to the crosshead and the frame can accommodate sample sizes up to 101.6mm (4”) in diameter. A scale is fitted to indicate the distance between contact points (D). The applied pressure is indicated directly as load on a digital display with 50KN capacity of 0.01kN resolution.
